Barbara Sue McCoy, 67 passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017 peacefully at home.

Barbara attended Roy Miller High School in Corpus Christi, Texas and graduated in 1968. Barbara had a long career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, retiring after 25(+) years. She also served for many years as the Vice President of the Union, Communications Workers of America. Soon after her retirement, she went to work for the City of Jonestown.

Barbara attended Roy Miller High School in Corpus Christi, Texas and graduated in 1968. Barbara had a long career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, retiring after 25(+) years. She also served for many years as the Vice President of the Union, Communications Workers of America. Soon after her retirement, she went to work for the City of Jonestown.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Glen & Rhoda Cavin, brothers Douglas Cavin and Glen Cavin Jr., sisters Sharon Cavin and Dorothy Lamb. Barbara survived by her husband Danny McCoy, daughters Shanna (Wes) Roberts and Dana (Jordy) Mitchell and grandchildren Tyler, Taylor, Ryder, Jordyn, Hudson and Logan, sisters Margaret Morris and Norma (Mike) Pusley, numerous nieces and nephews and very many friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Dell Children's Hospital of Austin Texas, or the charity of your choice. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Marybeth Cishek, MD and her NP Ruth at the Heart Failure Clinic of Austin as well as her Encompass Hospice nurses and Staff. Barbara "BeBe" will be forever missed.

Services will be held at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home, Austin, Texas on Tuesday, August 8th, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
